DECATUR COUNTY SADDLE CLUB
**Between classes 12 & 13 we will have a stick horse race for ages 6 & under and a rotation class for ages 7 & up. Entry fee is free and each participant will receive a participation ribbon. No points will be given in these events.

Show Dates For 2009 ALL SATURDAY NIGHT SHOWS BEGIN AT 5:30 P.M. FRIDAY NIGHT SHOWS BEGIN AT 6:30 P.M. Regular Riding Season Dates
Rain dates are the Friday night prior to the next scheduled show. Cancellations will be announced on WKJQ radio. Special Show dates will be announced and posted on the website.
Meetings are held the second Monday night of the month at 7:00 P.M. at Community South Bank meeting room. Check website for dates. We encourage all members to attend.

CONCESSIONS ARE AVAILABLE ON THE GROUNDS
GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
The judge’s decision is FINAL. No profane language or alcoholic beverages will be allowed. No horses around the concession or announcer’s stand. No unnecessary abuse of horses. Each horse will be allowed to enter only one time per event for points. When a class is called, registration for the next class is CLOSED. Proof of NEGATIVE COGGINS is required. Decatur County Saddle Club is NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ACCIDENTS. No one under the age of 18 will be permitted to enter a class with a stallion. All children 15 & under will ride free except where otherwise noted on events list.
RUNNING EVENTS If, in any timed event, the pattern is broken, the rider will receive NO TIME. A five second penalty will be added for each barrel or pole knocked down. No running in or out of the gate. Horses will be disqualified for running in or out of gate. In flag events, flag must remain in bucket. Hitting horse with flag will constitute a NO TIME.
Re-rides
will be allowed for tack (Saddle or bridle related) or in the event of a
timer mal-function. No running of horses allowed in parking area or around spectators.
WESTERN PLEASURE Attire can be whatever is comfortable to rider. Tack shall be whatever his or her horse is accustomed to. No martingales or tie downs allowed in pleasure class.
HIGH POINTS AWARDS High point awards will be given in each event. You must be a member of the Decatur County Saddle Club, prior to the show, to be eligible for points.
Participants must ride the same horse, in the same event, at least five
shows to be eligible for high points. One participation award will be given to members, 15 & under, who participate in one show. High points will be figured on all nine regular season shows. Points are as follows: 1st – 6 points --- 2nd – 5 points --- 3rd – 4 points --- 4th – 3 points --- 5th – 2 points --- Participation – 1 point
